Overview

Our client, a highly successful and growing Managed Services Provider is looking for an ambitious and highly skilled 2nd Line Service Desk Engineer to join the team in their London office. The successful Candidate will be responsible for providing second to none technical support to the company’s clients both in the UK and internationally. Applicants must have experience of working for an MSP organisation, as well as demonstrable experience of providing MAC and Windows tech support externally.

Responsibilities
  • Provide the company’s clients and customers with outstanding 2nd Line Support.
  • Diagnose and escalate problems accordingly.
  • Carry out high standard troubleshooting responsibilities.
  • Respond to tickets in a timely manner, in line with SLAs.
  • Ensure that resolutions and fixtures are carried out within a pre agreed timeframe.
Requirements
  • 2+ years’ experience of working for a managed services provider organisation.
  • Degree Level Qualification in a relevant IT / Computing field.
  • Strong and confident troubleshooting skill.
  • Must have experience of supporting Microsoft Software (Office, Exchange, Active Directory, Server etc.).
  • Ability to learn quickly and work autonomously.
  • Ability organise and proactively prioritise workload.
  • Motivated and ambitious by nature, striving to gain new relevant qualifications.
  • Good understanding of Network Stack (IP / TCP).
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Exchange, Microsoft SharePoint Online, Google Apps.
  • MCSE / MCITP or multiple MCPs qualifications would be highly advantageous.
  • Support experience of macOS software (Office, macOS, Open Directory, ServerOS) and macOS hardware knowledge would be advantageous.
