Overview

Our client, a successful Analytics Software company, are searching for an experienced Sales Director to join their team based in Berlin. The Sales Director will be responsible for their own sales development for Enterprise Accounts across the DACH region, and will manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting through to closing 6-digit order values. A minimum of 5 years' experience selling analytics/ SaaS/ digital software to enterprise accounts is required for this role.

Responsibilities

  • This is a new business hunter/ individual contributor role.
  • Take ownership of own sales/ opportunity development for enterprise accounts across the DACH region.
  • Win new business across industry verticals and, through targeted account planning, expand strategy.
  • Connect with, build and maintain relationships with executives across a range of departments (marketing, consumer insights, consumer market research etc.) to penetrate new accounts proactively.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting, through the closing.
  • Work in collaboration with the pre-sales team to customise and optimize the platform that will solve business challenges, and present this to customers.
  • Offer excellent advice and guidance to customers, displaying compelling ideas and insights and execute efficiently.
  • Build, develop and maintain high-quality pipeline opportunities.
  • Manage and execute the sales process efficiently and accurately using Salesforce.com and the company’s value-based sales methodology.
  • Liaise and work alongside the largest companies/brands in the industry/region.

 

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience selling analytics/ SaaS/ Digital products to enterprises.
  • Previous experience selling into marketing-related industries.
  • Excellent selling, negotiating, networking and objection handling skills.
  • Solid presentation skills.
  • Excellent organisational and account planning skills.
  • In-depth knowledge and familiarity with the sales process.
  • Able to achieve/ over-achieve targets consistently, closing 6-digit order values.
  • Disciplined, persistent, a team player and able to think outside the box.
  • Awareness of various sales methodologies.
  • Must be willing to travel as required.
  • Must speak native Germany and excellent English skills.
