Overview

Our client is searching for a Professional Services Engineer to join their Services Team based in France. This position is responsible for delivering professional and support services, including on-site and remote implementation of equipment. The successful candidate will be required to resolve 2nd/3rd tier issues, including diagnosis and documentation, and will take ownership of the problem resolution cycle or the implementation delivery cycle. Comprehensive Telephony and Data Networking experience is required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional and support services, including on-site and remote implementation of equipment.
  • Resolve 2nd/3rd tier issues, including diagnosis and documentation.
  • Take ownership of the problem resolution cycle or the implementation delivery cycle, from initial requests, to escalation if required and through to solution delivery.
  • Additional support for pre-sales engineers, POCs and customer training may be required.
  • Undertake management of professional services activities, troubleshooting & debugging, reproducing issues in the lab, and interfacing with backend support, and status reporting to customers.
  • Remote and on-site sessions will be required, along with out of hours work.
  • Off-hours activities and overnight travel within EMEA is occasionally requires with this role.  

 

Requirements

  • Must have excellent organisation skills and interpersonal skills with a desire to help customers.
  • Must display patience and persistence.
  • Degree educated in Engineering, or University Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Telecommunications.
  • Comprehensive Telephony and Data Networking experience.
  • Extensive hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of telecommunications equipment.
  • Familiarity with technical / project documents and writing application notes.
  • Excellent English skills, both written and verbal.

 

Advantages:

 

  • Previous experience with Microsoft UC solutions i.e., Teams.
  • SBC experience, working with a range of technologies or solutions.
  • Previously worked in an industry relevant Vendor or Service Provider.
