Overview
Our client, a global VoIP solutions provider is looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join their UK team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing with relevant system architecture and design, whilst also providing guidance on new product intros and the the company’s data portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Act as main point of contact and business authority on both implementation and design of data products.
- Work closely with cross functional teams to understand business requirements.
- Turn business requirements into comprehensive solution design including analysing systems, identifying gaps, and proposing solutions.
- Work on refining specific architecture development methodologies whilst ensuring they meet industry standards and align with best practise.
- Responsible for creating appropriate documentation to communicate architectural vision and solutions.
- Responsible for overseeing system integration of relevant architecture systems with telco components.
- Make sure data flows seamlessly and smoothly between multiple systems.
- Guide the development team and provide technical leadership during the implementation of proposed solutions.
- Share knowledge and expertise whilst providing coaching and training to team members.
- Carry out key solution validation duties including troubleshooting and conducting tests.
- Engage with key stakeholders such as execs, users of the business, product managers to understand their needs and provide appropriate architecture solutions.
- Make sure to maintain and stay up to date with industry relevant best practices and trends by attending conferences, forums, and industry relevant events.
Requirements
- Degree Qualification (BCs or MS) or equivalent in a related field such as Telecoms, Computer Science or similar.
- Demonstrable experience in a Solution Architect capacity, within a Telecoms industry.
- BSS and OSS system architecture expertise, as well as practical, hands-on experience with relevant industry frameworks.
- Proficient user of architectural design tools (Sparx, Visio, or similar).
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to provide practical solutions to complex problems.
- Strong communicator with ability to engage and work together with diverse teams.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to self-motivate and work well independently.
- Ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-technical audiences.
- Good understanding of TMF frameworks and best practices.
